Step 1 - Landscape Design Preparation
In preparation for your new landscape design, VisionScape will create a project file that consists of gathered property information and the recreation of your property in both CAD format as well as a 3Dimensionsal model of your property, as it is today.
FIELD SURVEY / Onsite Visit.
Upon becoming a VisionScape client, we will send a representative to your property to measure and triangulate your existing hardscapes and softscapes. We will also record soil conditions and establish sun and shade patterns. VisionScape will then perform a drainage analysis and comprehensive photo survey from every angle of your property. The information gathered during the field survey is then used to recreate your property as it is today.
BASE PLAN / CAD drawing of your property as it is today.
Based on the information gathered from the field survey VisionScape will create an accurate CAD drawing that represents your property as it is today.
VIRTUAL PROPERTY / 3D recreation of your property.
We then use the Base Plan to recreate your property in a Virtual 3Dimensional environment. The 3D model includes the general topography of your property matched "as close as possible" from the site measurements and dozens of onsite photos.
If a precise topography is needed at any point of the construction, we advise you to hire a certified land surveyor.
Step 2 - You and Your Master Landscape Designer
Now that your landscape design preparation is complete, it is now time experience the real power of VisionScape's Landscape Design Process. Working one on one with your Master Landscape Designer, he or she will draw on years of practical design and landscape construction experience to guide you to your dream landscape.
Master Designer Initial Meeting
Your Master Designer will contact you to schedule your first on-line meeting. During this first meeting you will discuss your landscape design objectives, desires and budget. Your Master Designer will perform a property review, discuss and illustrate your ideas while suggesting new ones. Your Master Designer will bring years of practical experience and thousands of landscape and product photos to help inspire the landscape of your dreams.
This is where your new landscape begins to take shape before your eyes.

Starting with your Master Designer Initial Meeting, a review of the time spent and an estimate of time needed offline (if any) to render any additional landscape elements or features discussed.
Your master Designer will continue to work for you both online and offline until you are completely satisfied with your new landscape. Once satisfied we will produce your finished landscape design.

Step 3 -Your New Landscape Design
Now that your new landscape design is finished it is time to put your plan into action. You may elect to have contractors bid on the construction; you may wish to do it yourself. You may even elect to install your landscape over multiple phases, years or seasons. Whatever your plan, you can rest assured that you have a road map to the landscape of your dreams. VisionScape will ship to you your Landscape Design package aswell as upload all designs, photos, material lists and 3D renderings to your online VisionScape Account.
VisionScape Landscape Design Package
VisionScape clients receive in the mail a Landscape Design Package which contains the following:
Master Landscape Plan (MP)
You Master Landscape Plan is a fully rendered, scaled drawing of your new landscape. Each client receives 3 hardcopies in a full color 2' x 3' format.
Hardscape Materials List
Each Landscape Design comes with a complete Hardscape Materials list containing square footage, linear dimensions aswell as the materials and products needed to execute your new landscape.
Plant Materials List
Each Landscape Design comes with a complete Plant Materials list containing quantity, common and botanical names of each plant used in your landscape design.
VisionScape Support
Now that your new landscape design is completed the VisionScape relationship is just beginning. VisionScape will continue to support your landscape now and long into the future. Some of the areas we can assist you with:

At a client's request VisionScape will provide you with up to three contractors who are anxious to provide you with apples to apples landscape installation and construction bids
Where to Buy & Save
VisionScape has partnered with retail garden centers across the country. Upon completion of your new landscape design, VisionScape can guide you to a garden center anxious to help you with your garden center purchases.
Design Changes & Revisions
We understand that things change. At any time in the future VisionScape is here to assist in any design change requests you desire.
Garden Reports
VisionScape is the official landscape design firm of the National Gardening Association. On behalf of the NGA and at your request VisionScape will send you a bi-weekly gardening report for your region. In each biweekly report, the NGA experts share gardening advice, techniques, news, and events. Plus, you can interact with your regional editor through the In My Garden Blog, where you can post questions or comments about your editor's columns.
